(1) If false information is filed to register a vessel as per sub-section (3) of section 4, the owner of such vessel and section 15 or section 24 a. A person who acts contrary to this may be punished with a fine of up to fifty thousand rupees or imprisonment for up to two years or both, and in such a case, the right of the concerned vessel to use the commercial vessel flag of Nepal may be withdrawn or suspended for some period.
(2) If the name and place of registration required to be written on the ship according to section 19 is not written, or if an unauthorized name is written, or if the name of the ship is changed without the permission of the registrar, the owner of such ship will be fined up to ten thousand rupees.
(3) According to sub-section (2) of section 24, the owner of the vessel who does not notify the registrar will be fined up to ten thousand rupees.
